This year's Halloween party at Boo Manor was *excellent* Plenty of people, lots of food, and really nice flowers as well. Alex did an amazing job, I did the scary shed again and people appreciated it, and we got to catch up with good friends.

All in all a great evening!

Well, it's Thanksgiving. Work yesterday was fairly relaxed, but I got some important things done. Snow was pretty but minimal. And today is beautiful outside. Turkey is in the oven, food is being cooked, and Bec is joining us at 4 for dinner. Well, Burgerfest 2014 is digested. Pretty good party, the moon bounce this year was a fail (kept collapsing and they picked it up early) so next year I will order one from *anywhere* except Awesome bounce. They sucked completely. And I'll make sure to get it overnight so we can have a proper adult bounce party ( Read more... )

Ok, after running four scoobas at the same time over and over, I finally got the floor clean. Mind you this was a pair of big scoobas to scrub and a pair of small ones to get in the corners and vacuum up the water/dirt.

What a disgusting mess. But the living room is now seriously clean. Which is nice, will see if it lasts for a few days.

dreamed we sold house and moved to rental in columbia that sucked with a crappy moldy kitchen. Went back to get stuff in shed was so sad. I think the idea was to live in rental for a year but it sucked so much it hurt.

Weird dream....

This year we seem to have a bumper crop of bats here at Boo Manor. The bat family came over about 6 or so years ago when I found a small group of them nesting in the attic gable vents. I had some screening over the vent to keep bugs out, and it kept the bats from getting into the attic. One squeaked through though and I had to catch it, and release ( Read more... )
